The team behind Lumeno.us share a belief that smart people who congregate online can solve big problems. We met each other through open source and Web 2.0 communities so it made sense to start with the question of how these communities create opportunity to pool business “hacks” and speed past the bumps and bruises that come with learning on the job or the high costs of expert counsel.

The next step was building a framework that combines the quantitative value of data and rules-of-thumb with networking and sharing experience and balances data security and confidentiality with confidence that the insights gained are trustworthy.

LaVonne Reimer, Founder

LaVonne conceived Lumeno.us on a history of more than twenty years of experience helping technology professionals become business-people. Most recently she served as interim CEO at Compiere where she prepared a two-person founding team for their first investment and initiated business-support programs for the partner and developer community. Before that she was the launch director of the Open Tech Business Center, an incubator for start-ups in open source that was supported by the Linux and Eclipse organizations and open source leaders at the major vendors behind them.

As founder and CEO of Cenquest, a provider of web education technologies backed by Sevin Rosen Funds, Hummer Winblad, and U.S. Trust, LaVonne led a team that borrowed ideas from multi-player online games and entertainment to set new standards for e-learning instructional design. She brings early experience as a business lawyer and corporate strategist, finding her way from law to business while in-house counsel at Tektronix in the mid-80s.

Aaron Lee, Chief Technology Officer

Aaron Lee has 12 years of experience delivering leading-edge software products and services. Lee's innovations are responsible for new businesses and unexpected growth at a variety of organizations including Dejanews, Dell Computer, and PayPal.

Most recently, Lee was responsible for development and growth of PayPal's Developer Platform and Services during his leadership tenure there. Lee's entrepreneurial experience includes founding and developing successful, revenue-generating products at 4 previous startups.
